LEGEND OF THE RED GHOST LEGEND

"I had heard tales of The Red Ghost from ranchers and farmers in the area for quite some time. The Red Ghost is said to be a large, red camel with a bleached human skeleton upon its back. No doubt a story formed from the failings of the Camel Corps around the Civil War. As I was investigating a ranch to the east of the valley, a red beast roared past me and my horse, Wilde, on the trail. I heard a rifle shot. The Red Ghost had been fired upon and was brought down with a single shot. A maniacal skeleton was strapped to a red camel, terrorizing ranchers in the area. I later found out that a local farmer, Mazoo Hastings, had shot the camel and put an end to the legend."
