Sunwash New Zealand Pilsner

With our lager program up and running, we were excited to explore hop expression in an entirely new way. Sunwash is a New Zealand Style Pilsner loaded with west coast hop character. Using all premium German Pilsner malt, and our favorite lager yeast strain, we dry hopped this crispy pils with aggressive amounts of Freestyle Nelson Sauvin, Rakau, and Rakau SubZero Hop Kief.

“Somewhere within the Superstitions, I lost the trail.The sun hung high, a molten eye, bleaching the world to bone and shadow. In his letter to me, my uncle Jacob Waltz warned of a cursed light guarding the mine, a sunwash, that seemed to erase men from memory. I thought it legend, until I walked through it. Hours passed -- as time itself seemed to fade under that blistering glare. My bones burned. My compass spun, but I endured. That is, until I came across a glowing steer skull in the fading sunlight, sunwashed in immeasurable time. I sat confused, in awe, that this sign might lead me to the gold of which my uncle spoke. Yet, I emerged with no gold, just hope… that someday I will find those riches.”
