Our Munich-style Helles Lager highlights the richness of German heirloom Pilsner and Vienna malts, offering subtle notes of lightly toasted bread. A delicate hop touch provides just the right balance, and weeks of cold lagering create an exceptionally clean, crisp, and highly drinkable finish.

1894 LEGEND

“After the latest skirmish in town, a gun fight between one of Randy Ringo’s lackeys and the local law, I helped some citizens drag the poor lawman’s body to the undertaker. I further assisted by covering up his spilt blood on the street. When I kicked dirt upon the pool of drying blood, a coin appeared. I took the coin and dusted it off. I first thought it to be a German Pfennig but that was simply wishful thinking. It wasn’t a coin I had seen before but I did notice the date prominently displayed on the back... 1894! This was a relatively new coin, carrying the stamped date same as the origination date of now the most popular style of lagers in Germany... the Helles! I received word of this new style in a letter from my brewer father back home in Germany. But there was no state or country minted into the coin!”
